Day 4

Subject: What is easiest for you, [firstname]?

Hi [firstname],

When it comes to social media marketing, it's best to start out creating the most natural content for you.

So the big question is: What do you find easiest to create:

Is it video?
Or Visual?
Or Text?
Or Voice?

There's no right or wrong answer here. Some people think in words, others think in pictures – decide which sort of person you are, and find a social media platform that's a good fit.

If it's words, consider starting a blog. Technically a blog isn't social media, but you can use one as the hub of all your social media marketing activities.

You can start a free blog on WordPress.com (or better still, host one on your own domain) and use a widget to automatically show your latest Facebook posts and Twitter tweets. I'll talk a bit more about “being everywhere” tomorrow.

You can also share articles on medium.com. Don't let that stop you posting to Facebook, though! You can also write posts and captions on Instagram.

I talked a bit about YouTube yesterday, and if you're comfortable being on camera, consider starting a YouTube channel and becoming a “vlogger”. It's a great way to build a massive following and become a celebrity in your own right. You don't need to restrict yourself to YouTube, either. Almost all social media platforms have some type of video feature. Instagram has IG Stories, IGTV, and Instagram Reels. Facebook also lets you post videos.

If you don't like writing or being on camera, but you've got a good voice, then consider starting a Podcast. You can share podcasts on Instagram – as well as platforms like Apple Podcasts (formerly iTunes), Google Podcasts and even Spotify!

Warmly,

[Your Name]
